Richard C. Loria, M.D.
Allergy & Immunology: Adult and Pediatric

Dr. Loria received his M.D. degree from The University of Navarre School of Medicine in Pamplona, Spain.  Dr. Loria then completed his medical residency at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, and his fellowship in Adult and Pediatric Allergy and Immunology at Washington University in St. Louis.  Dr. Loria has authored several peer reviewed publications in the field of Allergy and Immunology.  He is Board Certified by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology as well as the American Board of Internal Medicine.   He was originally certified in 1989, and recertified in 1999.  He is a member of The American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology, as well as, The American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology.  Dr. Loria specializes in the treatment of both adults and children with allergy, asthma , and immune disorders with a particular emphasis of asthma, rhinitis, sinusitis, and food allergy.  He lectures to the medical community on a regular basis.  Dr. Loria has been recognized as a “Top Doctor” in the Washingtonian Magazine for several years as well as the Consumers’ Checkbook “Guide to Top Doctors”. 

 

Courtney Jackson Blair, M.D.  joined our practice in September 2008  Dr. Blair is originally from Washington, DC and is returned to the area with her family. She received her Doctor of Medicine from Oregon Health and Sciences University and completed her residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. She completed her formal training with a comprehensive Allergy and Immunology Fellowship at Rush University Medical Center. Dr. Blair  is Board Certified by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology as well as the American Board of Internal Medicine and Pediatrics.  Dr. Blair specializes in both adult and pediatric allergy and immunology and has special interests in asthma management, nasal and ocular allergies, and chronic hives.   She is treating patients in both our McLean and Sterling offices.

 

To further complement our medical staff, we are pleased to announce the addition in May of

Mary Lou Hayden, FNP, AE-C a Nurse Practitioner and Certified Asthma Educator with over 25 years experience in the treatment of asthma and allergic disorders. She is relocating to Northern Virginia from Richmond, where she has practiced for 9 years in a large allergy group.  Her patients have included infants through older adults, with special emphasis on patient and family education. Ms Hayden has published many articles, is a nationally recognized speaker on allergic diseases and asthma, and has been on the faculty at the University of Virginia School of Nursing and Virginia Commonwealth University School of Nursing.  Ms. Hayden will begin seeing new and returning patients on May 1, 2008 at both of our offices. With the addition of Ms. Hayden, we will be able to be more responsive to your urgent requests for appointments.  With her experience and training, she will complement the services of our physicians.
