Richard C. Loria, M.D.
Allergy & Immunology: Adult and Pediatric

Dr. Loria received his M.D. degree from The University of Navarre School of Medicine in Pamplona, Spain.  Dr. Loria then completed his medical residency at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, and his fellowship in Adult and Pediatric Allergy and Immunology at Washington University in St. Louis.  Dr. Loria has authored several peer reviewed publications in the field of Allergy and Immunology.  He is Board Certified by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology as well as the American Board of Internal Medicine.   He was originally certified in 1989, and recertified in 1999.  He is a member of The American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology, as well as, The American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology.  Dr. Loria specializes in the treatment of both adults and children with allergy, asthma , and immune disorders with a particular emphasis of asthma, rhinitis, sinusitis, and food allergy.  He lectures to the medical community on a regular basis.  Dr. Loria has been recognized as a “Top Doctor” in the Washingtonian Magazine for several years as well as the Consumers’ Checkbook “Guide to Top Doctors”. 

 

Courtney Jackson Blair, M.D.  joined our practice in September 2008  Dr. Blair is originally from Washington, DC and is returned to the area with her family. She received her Doctor of Medicine from Oregon Health and Sciences University and completed her residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. She completed her formal training with a comprehensive Allergy and Immunology Fellowship at Rush University Medical Center. Dr. Blair  is Board Certified by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology as well as the American Board of Internal Medicine and Pediatrics.  Dr. Blair specializes in both adult and pediatric allergy and immunology and has special interests in asthma management, nasal and ocular allergies, and chronic hives.   She is treating patients in both our McLean and Sterling offices.

 

Penny Flores, FNP To complement our medical staff of Dr. Loria and Dr. Blair we are pleased to announce the addition of Penny Flores, FNP, a Nurse Practitioner with over 10 years experience as a Nurse Practitioner and over 5 years experience in treating allergy and asthmas patients. Ms. Flores B.C.F.N.P. received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from West Virginia University and a Masters in Science in Nursing from George Mason University in conjunction with the George Washington University School of Medicine.  She is certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurse Credentialing Center and is a member of the Virginia Council of Nurse Practitioners. She is also a member of Sigma Theta Tau, the National Honor Society of Nursing.  She has worked six years in Urgent care/internal/family medicine settings and has been working in the allergy and asthma care field for the last five years.
